Customisation

Value Default Comment
Widget Heading RSS Reader Enter the name of the widget as it is to appear in the heading.
RSS Feed URL http://feeds.bbci.co.uk/news/rss.xml?edition=uk Enter the RSS feed URL for the feed you wish to display.
XSL Style Template css/rss_desc.xsl The RSS XML is transformed for display using an XSLT. A default one to display the "title" and "description" from a list of channel/items already exists and is part of the standard website. If required, a custom XSL Stylesheet can be written and used to display the feed differently. This new file would have to be installed into the website and then defined in the widget configuration as a custom "XSL Style Template".
Request Interval 30 The interval (in minutes) at which the website will update the RSS feed. Some RSS feeds have conditions of use, such as not to request updates more frequently than every 15 minutes. Set the time here.
